luigiLuigi Schreiber Scarpati
Proprietor and sous chef at the Tevere-Farfa Inn, Luigi’s professional background is organic food production. He has combined his active leadership in this field with his dream of directing a center for eco-tourism within the stunning scenery of Sabina farmland. He masterminded the restoration of the Tevere-Farfa’s old mill warehouse, which today is a sparkling, country inn, with outdoor dining in summertime, and acres of nature walks. The kitchen, bedrooms, and communal spaces are all new, with huge windows offering panoramic views.

luciaMaria Lucia Rossi
A native of Nazzano, Lucia brings her innate cooking and teaching talents to the program, along with her affectionate nature and sense of humor. As one tour observer wrote: “Lucia, won our hearts. With her big brown eyes and Madonna’s smile, she choreographed our cooking lessons, her arms reaching for spoons, her body diving for pans, and her right hand checking a bubbling pot on the back burner, while her other hand upped the flame higher on the front—it was a dance, bringing those five courses into being—antipasto, primo, secondo, contorni, and dolce. And Lucia was the star.”
